My Elementary/Middle/High School friends are probably going to get a kick out of this one.

I did this for my Drawing I final last spring. The assignment was to do either 3 self portraits or a self portrait made of 3 distinctly different pieces. And the piece had to 'say' something about the subject. So in other words it could just be a pretty picture that looked like you.

So this is what I came up with. I'd had this idea floating around in my head for a really long time and I'm sure anyone who knows me well would be able to guess it was inspired, at least in part, by the book series Animorphs.

So what I tried to do was take 3 different animals that I either felt a special affinity to, or that I thought prepresented a strong personality trait I have and drew myself 'morphing' into them.

An Eagle
A Dolphin
and a Bear

I'll let you wounder about the meaning behind each.

I'm really pleased with how it came out but sadly it's a little too creepy to hang up on the wall...
